Spice Bazaar is proud to launch the much awaiting Cooking School and to launch it all with Food, Flavour and Fun.
Classes are normally $125, but $100 for 2009 classes, 4 hours in length, include wine and time for dining on the dishes you have prepared! !

1) Dolmades with pine nuts, currents (Stuffed Vine Leaves)
Vegetarian spiced rice mix with natural sweetness and nutty crunch rolled in blanched vine leaves

2) Slow Roasted Mastic Lamb with Skordalia & Ouzo roasted fennel
Melt in the mouth lamb Lamb with the unique mastic; native to the Greek island of Chios imparting a slightly smoky resin like flavour. Served with a smooth delectable Garlic rich mashed Potato & slow roasted fennel enhanced with licorice notes from the Greek Spirit Ouzo

3) Rhodes Zucchini Fritters with mint & wine marinated fetta
This fabulous vegetarian dish has a delicious rich flavour with the complex fetta flavours freshened with mint give life to one of Greece's favourite vegetables!

4) Pastitsio
Greek macaroni pasta baked with rich béchamel sauce that incorporates cinnamon and nutmeg to make one of Greeces favourite dishes

5 ) Traditional Greek Salad
Kalamatta olives, fetta cheese, Crisp lettuce and ripe tomatoes. The simplicity and ingredient quality make this dish the perfect foil for some of the richer Greek dishes.

6) Classic Fried Squid
Greek menu is incomplete without a seafood dish. Y ou will be shown how to cook perfect squid - just fantastic with the Greek Salad

7) Bougatsa - a Cretan Custard Pastry
Learn to make this sweet, creamy luscious custard, layers of pastry topped with icing sugar and accompanied by an espresso - can a meal conclude any better than this?
