Spice Bazaar is proud to launch the much awaiting Cooking School and to launch it all with Food, Flavour and Fun.
Classes are normally $125, but $100 for 2009 classes, 4 hours in length, include wine and time for dining on the dishes you have prepared!

Diverse, complex & alluring. Smoky, sweet and flavoursome, from subtle nuisances of flavour in paella & saffron through to vibrant and powerful chorizo flavours! On concluding this class, you will be making sensational paella, delicious tapas and be confident with the Spanish flavours and way of eating!

Menu

1) Tortilla
the classic tapa found throughout Spain - served hot or cold, a potato and egg dish can have a variety of ingredients. This one uses Anchovies and will be served with a spicy Mojo Picos sauce

2) Spanish Paella with Prawns & Mussels
Paella is a traditional Spanish National dish originating in Valencia, this paella uses Chicken and Prawns to create a rich flavour base as a main or tapa.

3) Seared Calamari Salad with Creole Adobo
Very flavoursome spiced Calamari is prepared and seared such that it rolls and takes on the beautiful Spanish spices & is then mixed with a very tasty salad

4) MojoPicos Sauce
A fantastic flavoured sauce made from Piquillo Red Capsicums, there are many versions but I like this the best - is a great accompanyment to many dishes and tapas and has a bit of a kick to it and less of the vinegar flavours

5) PiquilloSalad
Intense tangy red capsicum flavoured salad balanced with capers, lemon, vinegar flavours.

6) Chorizo with BlackEye Beans
The famous Chorizo Sausage served on a flavoursome base of blackeye beans

7) Roasted Parsnip with Manchego
The National Cheese is showcased here on Roasted Parsnip and served with a walnut and apple mix basted with olive oil and a Spanish vinegar
