    What is this phenomenon called Pintxos? 

    You’ve heard all about enjoying Tapas, eating the Spanish way.  Well Pintxo (or Pincho) is what is eaten in the Basque area in northern Spain.  The word means ‘spike’ or ‘thorn’ and so refers to small bite size dishes that are commonly spiked with a skewer or toothpick. These delicacies are often presented on a slice of bread.   
    Pintxos is the plural, and these delights are meant to be eaten and enjoyed with friends and acquaintances, both old and new.  
    You’ll get to experience a wide variety of different flavours since each mouthful is a new sensation.

    Enjoying Pintxos is a totally different vibe to a sit down three course meal.  Pintxos are meant to be enjoyed in the company of others.  Sitting or standing at a bar and having a drink and pintxos with friends is the ultimate Basque experience.   Come along to the Spice Bazaar Cooking School and learn the art of creating Pintxos. You’ll then enjoy eating them with your new friends, along with a couple of glasses of matched wine.

    Possibly the ultimate cuisine for a gourmet tasting extravaganza!

    Pickled Anchovy - Spanish Cheese - Roasted Walnut - Berry

    Spanish Jamon – Saffron – Prawn - Mushroom

    Squid “A La Plancha” - Caramelised Onion - Parsley Oil - Squid Ink Emulsion

    Volcano Of Morcilla – Apple - Sultana – Yolk - Black Salt

    Eggplant - Goat's Cheese - Onion Jam

    Slow Cooked Glazed Pork Ribs – Spice - Sesame Seeds - Parsley Oil

    Melons – Marscapone - Sweet Basil Oil - Pistachio

    Indicative menu only.  We reserve the right to vary the menu somewhat based on seasonality, 
    ingredient quality/availability, menu refinements, and chef's inspiration!

    We will endeavour to accommodate dietary requirements if made aware on booking.
    Due to the nature of taking part in a group activity, however, it is unfeasible to omit certain ingredients from all dishes in a class.
    Some of our classes are more appropriate than others for those with dietary requirements - please contact us for further information on suitability of class menus.
